The web pages available at www.doctorevidence.com (the “Site”) are owned and operated by Doctor Evidence®, LLC (“Doctor Evidence”).  This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how we collect information from you or about you online through the Site our, why we collect this information, how we will use or disclose this information and how you may update or delete identifiable information about you from our records.

Doctor Evidence knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously.  Please read the following to learn more about this Privacy Policy. By visiting the SITE or downloading or using any software we offer on THE site, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy.  IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SITE.

What Does This Privacy Policy Cover?

Personal information (“Personal Information”) means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home or other physical address, and an email address or other contact information, whether at work or at home.  This Privacy Policy covers Personal Information that we gather when you are accessing the Site and when you are downloading the software we provide, if any, or otherwise using our services.  Also, this Privacy Policy covers our treatment of any Personal Information that our business partners share with us.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals that we do not employ or manage.

What Personal Information Does Doctor Evidence Collect?

The information we gather from our users enables us to personalize and improve our services.  We collect the following types of information from our users:

Personal Information You Provide to Us:

We sometimes request users of the Site to provide Personal Information, which users provide strictly on a voluntary basis.  We receive and store any Personal Information you enter on the Site or provide to us in any other way.  The types of Personal Information collected include your name, age, gender, email address, demographic information, and comments.  You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features.  The Personal Information you provide is used for purposes such as responding to your requests for certain products and services, customizing the advertising and content you see, and communicating with you about specials and new products.

To access certain content and to make use of the full functionality and advanced personalization features of the Site such as alerts, saved searches, and search history, we ask you to register and obtain a personal User Name and Password.

Personal Information Collected Automatically:

·        We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with the Site or use our services.  We automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, Doctor Evidence cookie or web beacon information, and the page you requested.

·        An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) whenever you access the Internet.  This number may be the same each time you access the Internet or it may change.  Like other Internet sites, we use IP addresses to collect aggregate, anonymous information about numbers of visitors and site usage.  The address is logged on our server when your computer requests information from us.  However, to allow users to access the Site anonymously, your IP address is not linked with Personal Information about you.  We reserve the right, in rare instances, to use IP addresses to identify individuals who threaten the Site or our service or customers.

·        Generally, our service automatically collects information on our server logs from your web browser regarding your usage of the Site.  Examples of information we collect automatically from all users include the IP addressed used to connect your computer to the Internet; computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform; and full Uniform Resource Locator (URL) click stream data, including date and time, and content you viewed or searched on the Site.  We only use this data in aggregate, anonymous form (that is, as a statistical measure), and not in a manner that would identify you personally.  This type of aggregate, anonymous data enables us to figure out how often users use parts of the Site or our services so that we can make the Site appealing to as many users as possible, and improve those services.  As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate, anonymous information to our partners about how our users, collectively, use the Site.  We share this type of statistical data so that our partners also understand how often people use their services and the Site, so that they, too, may provide you with an optimal online experience.  Again, we never disclose aggregate, anonymous information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally.

·        Many companies offer programs that help you to visit websites anonymously.  While we will not be able to provide you with a personalized experience if we cannot recognize you, we want you to be aware that these programs are available.

Email Communications:

We often receive a confirmation when you open an email from us if your computer supports this type of program.  We use this confirmation to help us make emails more interesting and helpful.  We also compare our user list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our users.  If you do not want to receive email or other mail from us, please contact us by email, phone or fax as set forth below.

What About Cookies and Web Beacons?

  • Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in the Site are visited and by how many people.  Doctor Evidence cookies do not collect Personal Information, and we do not combine the general information collected through cookies with other Personal Information to tell us who you are or what your screen name or email address is.

  • Most browsers have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways.  We strongly recommend that you leave the cookies activated, however, because cookies enable you to register and log-in, make use of the advanced personalization features of the Site (although the basic features and functionality offered to unregistered users of the Site will be possible to use), and take advantage of other attractive features of the Site.

  • Web beacons (also often referenced as “clear GIFs,” “web bugs,” “1-by-1 GIFs,” “Single-Pixel GIFs,” “1 x 1 Pixels,” or “clear Pixels”) are tiny graphic image files, imbedded in a web page in GIF, jpeg or HTML format, typically used to monitor activity on a web page and send back to its home server (which can belong to the host site, a network advertiser or some other third party) information from your browser, such as the IP address, the URL of the page on which the beacon is located, the type browser that is accessing the Site and the identification number of any cookies on your computer previously placed by that server. Web beacons can also be used to place a cookie on your computer.

  • We also may use web beacons to collect non-Personal Information about your use of the Site and the websites of selected sponsors and advertisers, and your use of special promotions or newsletters.  The information collected by web beacons (i) allows us to statistically monitor how many people are using the Site and selected sponsors’ and advertisers’ websites, (ii) how many people open our emails, and (iii) for what purposes these actions are being taken.  Our web beacons are not used to track your activity outside of the Site or those of our sponsors or affiliates.  We do not link non-Personal Information from web beacons to personally identifiable information without your permission and do not use web beacons to collect or store Personal Information about you.

How Else Does Doctor Evidence Use Any of the Personal Information It Receives?

We sometimes use this Personal Information to communicate with you, or when we make changes to our user agreements, to fulfill a request by you for an online newsletter, or to contact you about your account with us.

Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of Personal Information, we cannot guarantee you that the information we collect will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

We will not use or transfer Personal Information provided to us in ways unrelated to the ones described in this Privacy Policy without also providing you with an opportunity to opt out of these unrelated uses.
